After a long hiatus, I made a new zine recently!! It's all about the science of aliens and SETI (the search for extraterrestrial life), and you can find it in my shop. I also got a chance to share this, and a lot more about science zines, at this year's OC Zine Fest. ComSciCon's first ever virtual flagship went great!! I really enjoyed being a part of the Organizing Committee and seeing how this conference comes to life, and hosting a workshop on zine-making in #scicomm was so much fun with this great group of attendees.

If not, let me introduce you! Part of the SciBites family, BiteScis is an awesome collaboration between scientists and K-12 educators. They create lesson plans that bring cutting edge scientific research and REAL research papers into the classroom, connecting them with science education standards and making them available online for teachers to access and implement. After meeting these awesome folks at ComSciCon19, I wrote a lesson with them on Newton's 2nd Law and Planet 9 - you can see it here!

This month I got to go to the ComSciCon Flagship workshop at UCSD - so many great #comsciconnections were made, including finally getting to meet some of my fellow Astrobites authors. Really excited to have gotten to spend a few days learning all about how to be a better science communicator!
